Time Spent on Page using a Hit Segment

There are multiple conversations around segments and Time on a set of pages - nothing that fully explains how to get to Time on a set of pages in the GUI.

In the below screenshot - i use the page dimension and compare to a Hit level segment with Time Spent Per Visit.   Intuitively, the segment time is more accurate.  However when i add the other page segments it does not.

Seeing as how Time Spent is all calculated (based on the time stamp of the hit and the next timestamp received, etc... ) I am not sure if the segment is causing issues by actively removing the time stamp on the next page that is needed to calculate the time spent...

I am suspicious that by using the segment you are only getting time spent on the page under certain conditions, and are removing some valid time calculations...

Unfortunately, the calculations that are being run are hidden, so there is no way to really see what exactly is going on here....
