Separate the management of different mobile apps in Adobe Mobile Services

Hello everyone,

We have some Analytics accounts that we can use to log into the site https://mobilemarketing.adobe.com/ to manage the engagement metrics analytics for mobile apps.

For a company having a couple of different mobile apps that are to be managed by different people/teams, we'd like to know what is the recommended way for permission delegation. For example, we want user1 to have admin control on the management and configuration (such as create new app and report suite, change app properties, add or change custom variables and metrics and etc.) of mobile app-A and user2 to have admin control on the management and configuration of two other apps such as mobile app-B and mobile app-C. User1 cannot manage (modify or delete) any of the mobile apps user2 is managing and vice versa. In short, we are looking for a way for granting specific users with the permission for fully managing only the mobile app(s) they are allowed to manage but not any other apps that are managed by a different group of people or team.

If there is any best practices or documents you could share about how to deal with this scenario above, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jay

Hey Jay,

I believe you will need two separate login companies to accomplish what you're after.  You can delegate your apps into each login company, and have the group of admin users be different for each company.

I'd recommend contacting your Analytics consultant to see if they can help you get your configuration set up properly.

Hope this helps.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your quick response. It is helpful.

I have a follow-up question. As our company has already bought the license fee for using Adobe Marketing Cloud Analytics (I don't have much idea on the purchase part or the exact amount of fee). I am just wondering if it will charge us any additional fee (in worse case double the fee we have already paid) for getting two or more separate login companies to achieve the goal in this specific scenario. Or is it the case that creating more new login companies is free of charge considering we have already been using one? Thanks!

Best Regards,
Jay
