Missing definition of the "Campaign Click-throughs" metric

Hi all,

can someone give me the official definition of what "Campaign Click-throughs" are and how they are counted?

Just because it does not seem to be properly described anywhere, not in Analysis Workspace nor Adobe's documentation (hello, Adobe!?).

My best bet would be that this metric represents/replaced "Tracking Code" Instances (Campaign)?

But why don't you just call it "Tracking Code Instances" anymore then and instead give it a cryptic name and forget to it write down anywhere?

On top of that, I assume the value as such is counting the actual occurrences and is not deduplicated, correct?

We use the getValueOnce plugin, so I would not care much.

But maybe as a community group effort, we could draft something and send it to Adobe to please update their docs xD

Cheers from Switzerland!

"Campaign Click-throughs" IS the "Tracking Code Instance". I can't find any documentation from Adobe sites but this happens that some report suites have the old name "Tracking Code Instance" and some report suites have the new name "Campaign Click-throughs". But you will not find both of them in the same report suite.

Thx  @leocwlau for confirming

Is there anyone you know I could ask for a documentation update? Quite annoying when something that important isn't explained neither in Workspace nor mentioned in the documentation

By any chance, you also don't know whether this one is deduplicated or now? My assumption would be not

Right, there should not be any deduplication on "instance".

Per the document, https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/components/metrics/instances, instance is the number of times a dimension was explicitly defined in an image request. It is the sum of the count of each value in a dimension, with no other calculations or distinct involved, which is the common source of deduplication.

Thought you might find this interesting.  @andrey_osadchu1 posted this back in 2019.  Crazy that we end up having to find and define this stuff better than Adobe.  LOL!
