Issue using Visitor ID with Generic Data Source (Transaction ID)

We are trying to link website visits related to a campaign to offline conversions. To achieve this we collect the Visitor Id of the session and we then use it to import that data using the Generic Data Source (Transanction ID). Based on this documentation (https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/datasources/adobe_analytics_data_sources.pdf) this should be possible and the way to achieve this goal, since with Full Processing the offline success events won't be assigned to the online campaign. However, when we import the data the processing fails saying “the visitorid is not a valid column name
