Is action the new parameter for events

We recently upgraded our implementation on a mobile device and saw the parameters for custom variables had changed.  For events, the parameter now appears to be action.  Also wasn't sure how you would differentiate a sProp or eVar that had the same parameter label.

Are you referring to the Mobile 4.0 SDKs? Reference information on Track App Actions is below:

http://blogs.adobe.com/digitalmarketing/digital-marketing/context-data-adobe-mobile-analytics-change...

https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mobile/ios/actions.html

Actions are the events that occur in your app that you want to measure. Each action has one or more corresponding metrics that are incremented each time the event occurs. For example, you might track an each for each new subscription, each time an article is viewed, or each time a level is completed. The corresponding metrics for these events would be configured as subscriptions, articles read, and levels completed.

Actions are not tracked automatically, you must call trackAction when an event you want to track occurs.

Brian

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please go through the below doc and see if it explains the parameters for events:

https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/implement/events.html

Thanks!
