Hi All,
I know I can exclude IP addresses for a report suite by using the "Exclude by IP Address" tool in the admin section but is there a way to include IP addresses. I can do this in Google analytics so I am sure it can be done in Adobe hopefully. I basically just want to see the reverse of my current internal IP address exclusion.
I want to have 2 report suites:
If there is a solution can you please be specific on how to accomplish it.
thank you in advance,
Scott
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can capture IP Addresses in an sProp and classify the internal ones and make a Virtual Report Suite off of the classification. That Virtual Report Suite woudl only have hits/visits for your internal IP Addresses and the cost is $0,
There is a Vista Rule available through consulting that handles this very nicely.

Yeah, but I heard it's fairly pricey and if IP ranges change over time then it will cost more for each update.
Any other options?

good point, totally forgot about virtual report suites. I think this is the perfect solution especially since the cost is $0
thank you for all your help

That's a great idea Adam, and of course the opposite true too, just make the segment exclusionary and then you're filtering all your internal traffic out of your external data.

Do you recommend creating a segment based on internal IP addresses, that could be used on the reports as needed?
