How to determine the page the user is on when conducting a search (and the search term)?

Avatar

I have internal search term set up to capture the query but was wondering how I can determine what page the user was on when submitting the query.

Thanks,

Patrick Flynn

Typically if the search result is displayed on a new page SERP. You could look at referring URL or capture a "previous page" s.prop or evar.

I also like to capture search term itself as an evar. as well, to allow you to see user behaviour after they perform a search.
