I'm sorry, this is a very basic question but I got thrown into this project and I'm hoping someone can help me. Thank you in advance.

Hey even basic questions can be hard if you don't know where to look.
Luckily there is a panel specifically designed for this purpose, called "Next or Previous Item"
If you drag the specific page value into the Dimension Item, choose "previous" and set the scope to Visit (this will ensure you are only looking at the previous page within the same visit, and not the previous page from the last visit if it's the first page of the current visit):
Then build the report.
This will build out an entire report, but most importantly, you can see how the segment was built to get the "previous page":
Hope this helps you out.

You can also use a flow report and specify the last page in the flow and then see all the pages that come before it.

Right-click -> “Create Flow from selection” on your X page -> the left branch immediately shows the last-visited pages before it. No segment needed.
If you want a reusable dimension:
Build a sequential segment
- “Page equals X”
- THEN “Return immediately before this hit”
--> Use it in any table to see the previous page and count.
This has advantage because:
- Flow shows patterns visually.
- Sequential segment gives exact numbers you can use in reporting, alerts, and breakdowns.
