I Have created a custom metric (a rate) and am using it in a free form table with other metrics, including visits.
I have sorted the visits by descending order and now I want to filter my table to only show rows where my custom metric is above a certaiin number.
Not sure how to do that.
I thought of using a segment but I am not able to include a calculated metric in a segment so it did not work .
Thank you for your help

Unfortunately, no, there isn't any way to filter a table using a metric. Both of the above answers are AI generated, and unfortunately AI often lies/is wrong. In this case, there is no such thing as a filter by row option for freeform tables. It's not always a good idea to trust AI.
Hi @VirginieRe2
You're spot on, calculated metrics can’t be used in segment conditions, so filtering by them isn't straightforward.
One workaround you can try is -
Add your custom metric to the freeform table (sounds like you’ve done this).
Sort the table by that custom metric in descending order.
Apply a manual filter:
Hover over the values in the custom metric column.
Use the small filter icon (funnel) that appears on hover.
Set a threshold (e.g., greater than 5%) to keep only rows above that value.
If the filter icon doesn’t appear, try copying the table to a new panel or refreshing Workspace, sometimes UI quirks make it disappear.
It’s not perfect, but this method helps avoid segment limitations and gets you a filtered view without too much friction.
Hope that solves it!

You're correct — calculated metrics like your custom rate cannot be directly used in segments in Adobe Analytics. This is a common limitation and source of confusion.
But there is a workaround using Freeform Table filters that will get you exactly what you want:
Let me know if this gonna work
Solution -
Click on the gear icon (settings) in the top-right of your Freeform Table.
Under the settings panel, look for “Row Filter”.
In the “Row Filter” section:
Select your calculated metric (e.g., My Custom Rate).
Set the condition: “is greater than” your desired threshold (e.g., 0.10 for 10%).
Click Apply.
This will hide all rows where your custom metric is not above the threshold — regardless of how other metrics like Visits are sorted.
Segments work with raw data dimensions and events, but calculated metrics are derived from aggregates, which can't be evaluated at the hit/visit/visitor level within a segment.

I agree, there is no such filtering in Adobe Analytics or CJA that I have ever seen.. there is however an Idea that I posted to add the ability to filter based on metric thresholds...
Thank you!
As a matter of fact I did spend 5 mn wondering why the filter by row option was not available for me 🙂
Ouch... for the record... so did I, in an attempt to see "is this new and I haven't seen it yet" or "is this not a valid answer" way, lol
