Changing Page Names

Avatar

Hello,

I've started a new job recently, and the pagenames they used are far from user friendly.

Is it possible to change to page name and not lose data?

The only way to change existing data in Reports is to use the Name Page admin tool however it's a very manual task, unfortunately page naming is such a fundamental in Adobe that not getting it right at implementation just causes headaches at later dates.

I would also like to know how to access the "Name Page" tool in the Admin menu. We have some renamed pages from years ago, and I would like to restore those to the original names. Can't see this item in the menu, even though I'm admin.

Found the information in the 2018 release notes:

Page renaming will no longer be allowed. Going forward, you will need to use classications to rename pages.

Because we missed the opportunity to restore the original names, it seems we have to wait until they restore themselves.
