Bounce rate in Adobe Analytics for multiple hits in single page load

Hello Experts,

Hope everyone is doing well!

We encountered a situation where we fire multiple hits on a single page load (1 page view and 2 other non-pageview hits).

Now, we would like to understand if we can calculate bounce rate as a custom metric, since standard bounce rate won't be accurate.

Need your help/suggestions in calculating bounce rate accurately. Ours is not an SPA site.

Thank you,

Kishore

I don't know if this helps or not, but I was given this advice a while back by another Adobe user.
You can create a Custom Calculated Metric for Bounce Rate (Single-Page View) using the following:

It is best explained this way:
This bounce rate differs from the traditional bounce rate in that it uses Single Page Visits to determine if the user genuinely left after visiting a single page and does not incorporate multiple server calls that can be fired when the customer remains on that same page, which is how a traditional Bounce Rate works.

Hope this helps!

I think it will help to understand the other non pageview hits.

What are they?

There are two non-pageview hits, they are:

1. AEM asset insights event

2. Visitor authentication status

So these 2 events and status are not defined as pageload correct?

Is it safe to safe #1 is a custom event?

#2 how have you defined it? As a evar or some custom event again?

Glad this helps.  I have used this quite a lot, because we have situations where people can come in, interact on a page and leave, and so it's really good for us to understand this, especially if you have what one might refer to as "brochure-ware," like we did in this particular case.  Best wishes!
