Analysis Workspace: Compare dates

It would be great if we could compare dates (WoW, YoY, etc.) in Analysis Workspace. Almost every person at my company who uses Analysis Workspace have asked for it.

To echo @viclin 's point - this is also a stumbling block for wider adoption of AW within my company. Operating in a seasonal industry, YoY, WoW, YTD, FYTD comparisons are essential to our reports.

Having to export AW reports into Excel to achieve this, negates the the tools flexibility and feels like a glaring omission given the more advanced mathematical functions it offers.

Hi @benjamingaines

I 100% agree with @MonicaS & all other answers here. This one will allow us to migrate a lot of manual / RB dashboards/reports into Workspace and key to a wide adoption in the company on top of all the other benefits we have with Workspace.

At the moment, we can work around this by duplicating Panels (one for this year, one for last year) or creating custom date ranges for YoY comparison. It's ok for aggregated comparison over a time range. However, we're used to trended graphs in our RB dashboards with This Year and Last Year lines on the same graph for an easy, quickly eye-catching comparison and this is the #1 thing I can't really do in Workspace at the moment.

Another vote for the YOY, MOM, WOW date ranges.

This is much needed feature. Did I just wrote "needed", I meant most wanted feature on our company too! Smiley Wink

This is really an important feature which prevents from deriving actionable insights from dimensions like search terms using analysis workspace. Hope to see this available soon.

Much needed feature indeed! Ability to compare by the hour of today, last week, and previous year would be ideal! With ability to view in one chart, similar as regular metric trend charts work today in Reports & Analytics.
