Allow edits of the descriptions for date ranges which are "Adobe Provided Components" in the Data Dictionary

Description -

We recently customised our calendar so that week now starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday.

However, the descriptions in the data dictionary haven't updated and include the sentence: "By default, this refers to the time period that starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday prior to the current week.".

We cannot edit these descriptions in the UI as they are "Adobe provided components".

We feel that the existing definitions are likely to mislead users.

Why is this feature important to you -

The current behaviour is misleading.

How would you like the feature to work -

Either:

a) The descriptions of Adobe provided components such as "Last Week" can be edited by users, or

b) If users customise their calendar to change the start date of a week then the definitions for these date ranges are updated automatically.

Current Behaviour -

The descriptions cannot be edited as they are "Adobe provided components".

You suppose to be able to adjust default descriptions with Adobe Support: we adjusted naming conventions for default components in required way

@Sergei_Kalinichenko Did you do that through a customer support ticket or with your account manager?

I raised a ticket with Customer Care but they just told me that it can't be done through the UI and suggested that I create a new date range,

Hi Edward,

This was done before I joined a team in my previous company, more than 6 years ago. I don't know exactly, but I think then if not through Customer Care, then with Account Manager. Hard to say if it was an easy thing, or we had to push a little bit.

Nest regards,

Sergei
