Ability to exclude IP ranges (and domains) in Adobe Analytics

Currently it is impossible to define IP ranges to be excluded in reporting. You can use wildcards like 1.1.1.* but you can't use ranges like 1.1.1.[15-120] this is a big problem for us. Now you have to add all IP's separately and there is the limit of IP's after you cannot exclude any.

Also would be nice if you could exclude domain behind the IP's that would be good alternative for IP range exclusion.

I know that I could buy Adobe consulting to do VISTA rules, but hey, it's 2019, this kind of self-service should be possible and included in price of the tool.

Hi there,

Not sure if this helps, but hopefully it will. We have virtual report suites to filter our data.

In here if there is a domain (such as Amazon AWS) which is sending bots to our site, we add a segment to remove the domain here. I have recently discovered it is not perfect, however it's a great start for automated.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for your comment. True, we could use domain dimension in virtual report suites, but there still are some IP ranges that we would need to block. If the IP dimension would be available in segment builder, then we could do everything. Would most likely solve the issue for many cases, but Virtual Report suites have some limitations, so I'd rather have this possible in real report suite.
