Adobe Marketo Engage

To make sure that anyone that enters our system is aware of our GDPR privacy policy, I want to add a form check field that states "I have reviewed the privacy policy and accept the terms." (That was just a random link). Anyone who fills out a form on our website should be required to check this off before submitting a request. The hyperlink can either open our privacy policy page in a new tab or display our privacy policy in the form of a lightbox. I have absolutely no idea how to do either of these things and would REALLY appreciate any help I can get.Thank you!PS, I like Sanford Whiteman's example in this thread. Hello,   We are in the process of building a lead scoring model, this is the formula that we have set up: Person Score = Behavioural score + Demographic score  I have a question related to Decay Scoring, when a lead status is nurtured we would like to keep only the demographic score, which means that the person score will equal to the demographic score so whatever we have in the behavioural score, needs to equal 0.   How can we accomplish that? How can I figure out what's the behavioural score to be able to deduct it? and is it even possible to do that?

Probably not the right Location for this but i'm trying to pull in a SFDC custom object formula field and it's spitting out a random time. Script is pulling in everything right except the time. Hey team! Nurture newbie here. I'm hoping someone can let me know if my logic is correct here.    In the Nurture program we built, we want everyone in the Chemical Industry to get 3 "intro" type emails. After those three emails are delivered, we would like to segment by job title (finance, sales, pricing etc) to get an additional 3 emails that are more tailored to their job title.  Can this be done by stream (below) with transition rules or smart campaign? Or maybe I'm thinking about it completely wrong! Looking forward to hearing from some experts 🙂 Thank you in advance!    

Looking for the Communities opinion on this, I would create a Poll if I could.Currently within the Product when you create a Smart List using a score or integer type field (this could possibly apply to other field types) and you specify that the attribute equals '0', the Smart List results will include Null values.So... the question is does 0 = Null? What do you think?Internally, there is a discussion on how this should work, and there are solutions to filter out the Null values, but implementing them can bothersome. Nonetheless, this enforces the best practice to always check your Qualified Leads tab and ensure that the counts look right before running your Smart Campaigns.

Hi everyone,   I got assigned to deploy a one time email. They are going to be providing a list to upload for this. However, each lead in this list is going to have different account owners. I am hoping there is a way to add a token for variable data to populate each leads specific account owners information when the email deploys? email sample below: " If you have any questions regarding the discontinuation of xxx, please do not hesitate to contact [account owner] at [direct dial] or [email]."   Thank you in advance for your help!

I have a question on Marketo and would like your expert opinion on the same -We have only mobile number of the customers and would like to use Marketo for SMS, whatsapp, push and in-app. We do not want to capture email ID of the customer, and work with mobile number only? What are the challenges in this case? Can I make mobile no. as primary ID for dedupe? Will it work in similar way like email ID?  How can we circumvent the email ID requirement of Marketo to deduplicate customer records? Any issues which you foresee? Your insights will be really helpful for us to make the prospect aware of the limitation and issues they can encounter

Hey everyone,   I am hoping to get some help on this issue. If anyone has encountered this before and has figured out a way please let me know. The issue I am having is that a lead will submit their contact information twice with the same name, phone number but a different email address. Example below:  Marketo pushed both of them into SF, I know marketo looks at email only. Is there a way to solve this issue? I am fairly new to Marketo so any help would be great!

Has anyone had experience with linking 1 Salesforce to 2 Marketos? I know there is documentation on Marketo Nation about how, but I wondering people's reasons for doing it in the past and if worked out. 2 companies just merged. One has the salesforce - Marketo sync already and has Party Master hooked up to it, too. The other Marketo instance has a BDM connection, but also wants access to the salesforce. With all these separate connections, plus the split salesforce we are concerned about the data and a duplicate situation.

Hi there. I made final changes to an email template, which I successfully approved and tested so that we confirmed the copy is up-to-date. After scheduling the email, the popup said that my email template wasn't approved, so I clicked Approved. The one and only internal person seeded on my list got an earlier version (incorrect) of the email, which I can't explain. Everything in Marketo shows the new correct template and when we conducted a live re-send, the email had the latest (correct) copy.  Does anyone know how this happened, and is there any way for me to determine if the problem happened across the send without tracking down another live recipient? Thank you.

Is anyone else experiencing an issue submitting a case?  It just keeps "thinking" and doesn't actually submit the case.

Hi all, we are migrating from WordPress to Craft CMS and we will change the way we use our Marketo forms.    We would like to pass the form submissions to Marketo from Craft CMS via API plugin. We don't want to store ANY data in Craft CMS. Do you have any documentation on how to do it?    I searched on Craft CMS and other websites, but was not able to find many info.  Thanks.  Andréia

We are using an embedded lightbox form - 1 form, many CTA buttons that trigger same form. I have it working where the form is submitted and passes values from the CTA href to hidden fields on the form to produce the proper asset on form success, but am wondering if it is possible that if a visitor clicks on another CTA that uses the same form, they are technically a Known Visitor and therefore just get a "Nice to see you again - here's your asset" button to click to be taken to the asset? I know embedding a form lacks certain capabilities then if on a Marketo LP - would this scenario be one of those?Thanks!

Hiya All, I'm sure I've done this (and sometimes feel I've forgotten more than I remember). I want to automate the sending of certain reports in a campaign.  One at 1 day after and email send, and the other 5 days after the email send. The subscription model isn't this granular, but I feel sure it can be done. Thoughts?  

Our marketing team that creates Newsletters out of Marketo is requesting to uncheck the mkt_tok in the email editor because what they think it is causing in Google Analytics reporting. In Google Analytics currently every link clicked in the newsletter programs is getting registered as a unique URL (not ideal). We can manually roll up these clicks in Excel, but it’s tedious and there’s no value to how the clicks are getting captured currently. Ideally, we would have a cleaner view of CTR & be able to track referral traffic at the page level. My question is, if we uncheck the mkt_tok from their newsletters, what actual implications does it have on reporting that I should be concerned about?

A team member asked me if there was an easy way to create a data/field dictionary for a Marketo/Microsoft Dynamics native integration and unfortunately there isn't. In this article I will explain how to understand the field mapping between Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) and Marketo.    When you export all the fields using “Export Field Names” you will get an excel field with the REST API, SOAP API and Friendly Label.  Fields with no SOAP API name are Marketo only. Many seem to be Marketo Microsoft system fields, Marketo system fields and a few which I’m unable to explain. Here's an example of some of them. Fields which include an (a) in the Friendly Label should be account fields. You can verify field mappings manually be looking them up in Field Management Fields with a (c) in the Friendly Label should be a contact field and may be mapped to a lead field. What's the deal with the Default Dashboard Object setting on the Everytouch Attribution section of the Marketo Measure App?!      This setting affects top of the funnel functionality:  Segmentation Segmentation allows you to create data categories to use as filters on reports (region, for example). For top of the funnel reporting, your segmentation would be based on fields on either the Lead or the Contact -- can't do both at the same time. If you select Lead as your Default Dashboard Object, your Lead fields will show up on the Segmentation config page; and vice-versa if you select the Contact object.  Read more about segmentation here Stages (or custom fields) available for the Custom Attribution Model The Default Dashboard Object defines whether you pull from the Lead or Contact for your top of funnel stages for the Custom Model.
