Hi,   I have a problem with reporting/tracking e.g. a form fill:   If I create a regular SmartList to show how many filled out a form, I get X amount of leads. If I then create a People Performance report and make an identical smart list in the report, I get a different result.I am suspecting that it is because the report is only filtering on 'Person created at' under settings while the regular SmartList is filtering on 'activity' i.e. both new leads/contacts created and existing leads/contacts filling out the form.   Can someone confirm or deny and if so - how do you get a report to show activity and not just leads created?

We have a program that sets some program member custom fields (PMCF) which sync to campaign member custom fields. Generally, the sync is working fine. However, we are seeing an issue in this case: If the initial sync of a person fails (say there is a bad picklist value in a standard field) and then the issue gets fixed, when the person does finally sync to the SFDC campaign and becomes a member, the PMCF field values do not sync to the campaign member custom fields. It seems the only way to get the PMCF fields to finally sync is if the value in the field changes.    Is anyone else seeing this issue?    Thanks!

Is it possible to set up an email trigger that delivers the email after a lead has not been updated in one hour.We created a custom DateTime field that gets updated to the current time every time we sync data to the lead. We would like to send an email once that custom DateTime field is one hour in the past.

Something for my fellow push-it-to-the-limit Marketo pros.   Discovered this when sending a ton of debug info back from a custom deduplication webhook. (Not to map that info to Marketo fields, only to check the Call Webhook activity details.)   After 10 KB the response is truncated, meaning it becomes broken JSON overall and Response Mappings won’t work, even if the “real” fields were at the top.   Takeaway Be choosy about what you return for debugging. And don’t try to debug and get production/final responses at the same time.   On JSON size It’s rare to worry about the total byte size of a JSON response. Serializing to JSON is the last step — and may even be done automatically outside of your userland code. Until you serialize, you won’t know how many bytes are added by quotes, semicolons, and escapes, and how many are subtracted by removing undefined entries. Hi, We are integrating Marketo to Dynamics Microsoft 365. We noticed that the latest solutions to download and install on DCRM dates 2016 (6 years old)  Our CRM team has looked at the configuration notes and they are concerned that this solution might be too old and alter our CRM configuration. They are especially concerned about CRM configurations that have been done to update CRM in accordance with Microsoft CRM Releases.    Has anyone installed/ Integrated Marketo with Dynamics lately? In the last year? Our CRM - Version 9.2.22012.133 online   Any feedback on recent experiences is appreciated. Are there any major alterations to the current setup that we should be aware of? 

It took me way too long to figure out how to get anchors to work within an email so a link at the beginning can take you separate sections of the email. So I wanted to share my discovery to help relieve some headaches for others.   First, you use the "Insert Anchor" option when editing the rich text the link will be going to. Name the anchor something appropriate, especially if you're going to have multiple anchors within the email. In this example, I used "ToC_to_AWS_Articles". Then, on the rich text you will have viewers click on to go to the anchored point of the email, you're first going to highlight the text that will be clicked on. Then, select the "Insert/Edit Link" option. This is the most important step that took me way too long to figure out. When you're on the Insert/Edit Link field, you will add the anchor to the "URL" box. But when you add it in to that box, type it in with the "#" before the name of the anchor. Hello friendly people,   I've tried to run the flow step "Delete Person from SFDC" on a Salesforce contact and I got the error message "{INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_OR_READONLY: insufficient access rights on object id}". That led me to believe that the Marketo Integration User didn't have the appropriate right to delete a contact. Yet, under Profiles --> Standard Object Permissions" in Salesforce, I see that the Integration User Profile has Read, Create, Edit and Delete on the Contact object all checked. Am I looking in the wrong place or do I misunderstand the error message?   Thanks!Michael

Hi All,   I have a trigger campaign which keeps the SFDC custom field (Suppression Reason) updated whenever a person's marketability updates. For example, let say a person is marked Email invalid as "True" (with Email invalid Reason text as True) and marked as  Unsubscribed as "True"(with Unsubcribed Reason text as Unsubscribed: No longer needed;). So the current Suppression Reason text field would show as: Now, let say I manually unchecked the Email invalid box, so what should be the campaign logic set in such a way that the Email invalid Reason should be removed and only the Unsubscribed Reason should be populated in the above text field ?   Any help would be very helpful for me. Hi all,   Interim goal: Get landing page performance report type of stats on each of our (100+ ) JS variations we have for each of our landing pages.   Ex. "our.company.com/lander1?utm_x=1" has 100 page views this month vs. "our.company.com/lander1?utm_x=2" has 200 page views this month.    End goal: pull this data via API/ Integration to be combined with other company data across other tools.   It doesn't seem like my end goal can be reached via the API. If that's the case, any recommendations for 3rd party reporting visualization tools that'd get us to our goal? We're looking at Tableau currently but not loving it.

Is there a way that previously deleted people that are added back to Marketo, get unsubscribed? Or is there a smart filter that can be used to omit them from being delivered emails?

Hi everyone,  I am setting up an Engagement Program and would like to skip an email for members in the stream that meet specific criteria. I know that I will need to add a default program with an email and smart list with that criteria. I believe that the campaign needs to be set as a batch, not triggered off the previous email sending, correct? I am wondering what I need to do to active the program and ensure the email is sent at the same time/day as the other emails in the stream. Would I schedule a recurrence for the same time/day as the cadence of the stream or schedule recurrence for daily?  

Hi everyone!   Have you ever had trouble starting the lead conversion due to clicks on external links or PDFs in emails?   It seems that if a client clicks on an external link or a pdf in an email, it will not be taken as a valid activity to start the lead conversion.   Thank you!

Hi everyone, I'd love to hear how people set up customer scoring, i.e. score existing customer to gage cross sell opportunities?We are thinking of setting up custom customer score; i.e. a) Customer Product A Score and b) Customer Product B Score. This would help us send them to the right sales team when they engage.Can anyone share any learning, ideas, issues they found?

Marketo’s content processing can be, in a word, greedy.   When it detects Mustache-style double-curly-brace notation — like {{lead.Some Field}} — that either   (1) matches a known field (in the case of a {{lead.token}}), or (2) simply looks like like a token (in the case of a {{my.token}})   the app grabs ownership and outputs the value of the underlying field/token.   And if it detects a {{lead.token}}-like sequence that doesn’t match a known field, it’ll throw a validation error.   Both cases are problematic if you meant to output literal double curly braces in the body of a page or email.   (If you’re wondering why you’d want literal content like “{{lead.Some Field}}” on a page, well, consider that software companies use Marketo and they may want to show sample code. And in general, no characters should ever be completely forbidden — that’s my take!)   The most obvious way to escape token-lookalike expressions doesn’t work.

Hello!   I'm trying to account for job title changes in demographic scoring. We've identified titles that we give a high (+5), mid (+3), and low (+1) score. However, if someone already received +3 for a mid job title, I only want them to receive +2 if they move to a high job title. I thought about creating smart lists for high, mid, and low and 3 smart campaigns for each list.   Example:   I don't love this approach because this would require multiple campaigns and I'm trying to be as simple and streamlined as possible. Is there a better way to do this?  

I'm trying to create a report that shows the members clicked in an email and the link they clicked. I can see the information is in the system, however I can't find one way to report it together?

Hi All,   Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.  I have a form built for a customer request a quote which is capturing 80% of fields correctly.  However, the address fields are not pushing through from the form to the person record. The form: Person Created via Form Submission I have visibility rules disabled and Mask Input Disabled.  Any ideas?  Happy to answer any follow up questions - thanks in advance!  

Hey all! I am trying to figure out the best way to go about capturing UTMs and Gcluid via hidden fields on forms. We currently have it set to "URL parameters." However, for awareness campaigns that direct people to non-conversion-focused pages, they often navigate around before converting, thus we lose the UTMs and Gcluid when they end up converting. I have made some smartlists that show me if people visited these web pages via ads by creating smartlists that look for query that contains the corresponding UTMs. From this I can manually look back through the leads history and take the Gcluid out and populate a spreadsheet. Nightmare, but possible, and it allows us to feed the google ads algorithm. However, people keep asking me why a lead driven from an Ad has a lead source of direct/organic. I explain that it's because the system sees them as direct organic as the UTMs and Gcluid fall off as they navigate around the site before converting. A

Hello, Due how our data is structured, we needed to use bridge Custom Objects to structure our data similar to this:Customer Profile (person data) --> CustomerLoans (the high-level data) --> Loans (the detaiils)By default, it seems that the Email Scripting can only access Custom Objects that link to a Lead. Is there any way to access that second level data or is it not possible to grab it at all?
