Adobe Experience Platform

Hi,We want to reset our DEV sandbox in AEP as quite a few schema, dataset, audiences are out of sync after a identity change in the platform. We want to reset the DEV sandbox because you cannot delete the schemas.  I want to understand what is the impact of this on other Adobe tools of same eco system specially on Data Collection/ Launch and AJO?Will all the existing configuration in Data Collection of DEV sandbox erased? What about the AJO journeys, campaigns, events, messages in DEV sandbox? will these go as well. What will happen to other tools like analytics, target, etc.Thank you in advance.

I am making an assessment for the bank. They import external audiences on a daily basis. I am thinking if this can affect negatively in the long-term the effectiveness of the platform?

Hi, I was looking among the queries provided in the Query Service Api section for a possible API that allows me to execute a query. For example, I create the query on aep and through api I insert the query id of the saved query and in the api output I see the response (output) of the query. Is there a query that allows me this type of output? Thanks.

Is it correct that one tag property can track multiple domains?

I have cleared adobe workfront core developer professional certification exam on 9th Nov 2024, but I didn't receive the certificate/badge post clearing the exam.  Can you please let me know when can i accept the certificate. Thanks,Samyuktha

Hi, We are having standard client side implementation for our websites. We don't want to move AEP for now. Is there any other way to implement server-server side implementation under Data Collection? We want to collect the visitors data regardless of cookie consent. We are losing some sort of traffic by denying the cookies consent.

While going through this tutorial Offer Decisioning with the Platform Web SDK, we are getting this error in console. And upon checking payload, it seems the payload response from AEP Offer Decisioning Service is also empty, and this is causing above error. Does anyone know how to trigger offer decisions from WebSDK? Could you point me to the right(updated) documentation as this seems to be not working for many? PS: this is working through the APIs but not with WebSDK.

Hi everyone, We are currently in process of migrating the analytics implementation to Websdk approach and there is one use-case which we are trying to implement. Currently, we are not tracking users who rejected the cookies from OneTrust banner and we need to gather this details and implement via WebSdk approach but to capture limited set of KPI's.I wanted to know if it is feasible or not. Generally with ECID service extension, we used to get ECID and if we don't use that extension by default we get the Fallback ID (FID). However, in our case we are using WebSdk extension and to capture ECID we followed data prep method https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/client/web-sdk/accessing-the-ecid when user accepts the cookies. We need to capture the scenario when users doesn't provide the consent/reject the cookies but still want to capture with limited set/OOTB KPI's (Not with ECID but with any other ID). Is there any me

Hi team, I want to track how users scroll in the site and wanted to measure different milestones like 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% via WebSdk way not using traditional adobe analytics method where we add clear vars, set variables and send the beacon. Instead I only need to send WebSdk send event when user scroll through these milestones. I don't want to use time and scroll extension because this is not reliable and showing me incorrect results. Is there any javascript code to track the scrolls and how we can call it while sending WebSdk send event. Appreciate if anyone can assist it... Thank you

I'm working on a new project and I came across this syntax:%this.innerText% in fields where a data element would be called. I thought it was a mistake, but my coworker told me that, it would execute the JS. I couldn't find any info online regarding this. I didn't know this was possible but if it is, how long has this functionality been available? Thanks!

Hi,We have published the Web SDK rules and now we started to compare data.Visits:Roughly 57% less in Web SDK Report SuiteOccurrences:Roughly 60% less in Web SDK Report SuiteWhat can cause such a discrepancies? What is your experience within this topic? Have you the same issue? Thanks in advance for all replies!

I'm attempting to activate a destination, but I'm unable to locate a specific dataset that was loaded several months ago. The date filter only permits me to view data from the past 30 days, which prevents me from accessing the older dataset.

Whilst it's great to be able to see the number of outgoing events on Event Forwarding, I am currently unaware of any way to drill into these numbers and visualize how many events are being forwarded to each respective endpoint. Does anyone have a proposed solution? Or are we in the same boat? Thanks,Ty

{Lamp=6, Sensor=3}This comes under a particular field as string in CSV file.I need to ingest the file and map this particular field to a key value pair field(key-lamp and value-6).Can anyone please help me with this.Or can anyone help me with any other way to ingest this data.

Hi all,   I have a POC which should set or update Profile information based upon a web form which information is supposed to be sent through Web SDK / sendEvent. The Profile schema contains a section for person information such as first name and last name (standard Adobe XDM schemas used).   The dataset is updated and contains this field group.   Now, when I try to send the information via custom code     const data = { xdm: { identityMap: { myPersonId: [ { authenticatedState: "ambiguous", id: "12345", primary: true } ] }, person: { name: { firstName: "John", lastName: "Doe" } } } }; alloy("sendEvent", data).then(response => { console.log("Profile updated successfully:", response); }).catch(error => { console.error("Error updating profi

Hello, I have been using the Adobe Launch API following the docs: https://developer.adobelaunch.com/api/ When using the search endpoint, in the returned results all the rules / data elements have "published:false" even if they are published.I have been scratching my head for quite some time and now came to the conclusion that it might be a flaw / bug in the API itself. Anyone facing the same issue, please comment. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards,Saif

I need to send real-time data to Kinesis using the Core Custom Code function. I'm already using the AWS extension to send to a stream, and I need to send another stream but the extension only allows one destination per property. The Custom Code is an out of box solution, hence no adobe documentation is available. Does anyone have experience in this?

I'm finding that changes to custom code are not publishing when building a new property. I'm applying Custom Code within an Update Variable Action. Any changes from the UI are taking effect (updating the data Data Element), but any changes made in the Custom Code area are not applying. I've tried to make Custom Code changes with changes to the UI together, and separately, but I can't get the changes to apply. Is there a delay in custom code updating after building the property + library?

Hello AEP Community,I hope you’re all doing well.TL;DR:Can we use an external (custom) service to handle all email, SMS, and Push communications in AEP, instead of directly connecting to providers like SendGrid, FCM, Apple, or the built-in ones? What would be the compromises or challenges in doing so?Detailed:I’m exploring the idea of integrating a custom enterprise messaging service with AEP for managing all outbound communications (SMS, Push, and Email). Our service would act as the final step in delivering messages to customers or leads, replacing AEP’s direct connections to services like SendGrid, FCM, or telcos. Instead, AEP would route these requests to our centralized Message Delivery Service through:REST API (single and bulk)Pub/Sub EventsFile uploadsThe idea is for AEP to send just the Universal Customer ID and some basic message details, while our service handles contact details, customer preferences (e.g., time of day they accept notifications, language, preferred chan

Hi everyone! We are working on a CI/CD strategy for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and are exploring the possibility of providing each developer with their own isolated sandbox, similar to how it’s done in Salesforce. By "local sandbox," I mean an environment that could be installed on a developer's machine or hosted in the cloud but completely isolated from other developers. Before moving forward, I’d like to know if this setup is feasible in AEP and what options we have for creating such environments, ideally without increasing our license costs. Has anyone implemented something like this, or could share insights on what’s possible? Thanks in advance for your help!

Case Study OverviewWe’ll be using the Data Distiller Query Pro Mode Editor, a web-based editor that lets you view results of a query with limited options- 50, 100, 150, 300, or 500. While this may seem limiting, it’s important to remember that the editor operates within your browser, which has memory constraints for displaying results. If you use a dedicated client installed locally on your machine, such as DBVisualizer, you can handle much larger datasets—up to 100,000 rows or more. However, even with local clients, you’ll eventually hit application memory limits. This brings us to an interesting challenge: how can we efficiently paginate through the result set when the client editor imposes a limit on how much data can be displayed at once? The answer is Data Distiller Cursors. What is a Data Distiller Cursor?A cursor in Data Distiller is a database object used to retrieve, manipulate, and traverse through a set of rows returned by a query one row at a time. Cursors are parti

Subscription analytics involves tracking and analyzing key metrics that measure the health and growth potential of a subscription-based business. These metrics provide insights into customer behavior, revenue trends, and overall product engagement, which are crucial for making informed business decisions. Common metrics in subscription analytics include churn rate, Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), Daily Active Users (DAU), and Monthly Active Users (MAU). Monitoring these metrics helps companies understand how well they are retaining customers, growing revenue, and encouraging product usage over time. Subscription analytics and metrics like the above are widely used across various many industries:Software as a Service (SaaS): SaaS companies use subscription metrics to monitor user adoption, gauge engagement, adjust pricing, and reduce churn. Key metrics like MRR, ARPU, and CLTV help them assess profitability and the l
