Adobe Analytics Data | Server to Server Side Implementation | Regardless of Cookie Consent

Hi,

We are having standard client side implementation for our websites. We don't want to move AEP for now. Is there any other way to implement server-server side implementation under Data Collection? We want to collect the visitors data regardless of cookie consent. We are losing some sort of traffic by denying the cookies consent.

Hi @r0081986

the problem is that the Edge Network forwarding uses cookies to identify the users. Adobe does not support cookieless at the moment.

Hence, you must (at least in the EU and most other countries these days) check the user's consent before tracking him at least with Adobe Analytics.

Server-server APIs might work, but not through Adobe Tags involved as far as I know.

Cheers

For clarification, are you asking how to ignore the the consent option that the visitor to your site has selected?

I am not sure this should be marked correct, except to state that you do NOT ignore the consent selected by the user.

Hi,
I am into the same situation and here is what I think is possible but I need to understand the implications from privacy stand point. Any inputs/ suggestions on below thoughts would help me and others in this situation.

- I planned to propose(in our org) that we collect all anonymous events (hashing PII such as email or obfuscating it in data stream mapping so that datasets contains anonymized info).

- For each profiles in RTCP, we set the consent decision made by the customer so that audience can be segmented based on choices and excluded from being utilized anywhere except internal analytics (like total sessions, order count , etc in ecommerce sites)

- Apply DULE policy for sensitive attributes in schema like we have email, ECID, phone, etc (to over protect #1)
