Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi Community,We’re running into an issue with Dynamic Media previews on AEM as a Cloud Service Author.When viewing assets in the Asset Details view or when browsing Dynamic Media image presets in the side rail, the thumbnails and previews fail to load. Looking at the network calls, the preview URLs are being generated like this:https://author-xxxxx.adobeaemcloud.com/is/image/...?$preset-lg$ These requests return 403 or 404 since /is/image/ is not available on the author domain in Cloud Service.However, when we copy the rendition URL or use RESS, the URL points correctly to the Scene7 CDN:https://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/...?$preset-lg$ So the problem seems to be that the AEM Author UI is picking data-imageserver=/is/image/ instead of data-production-imageserver=https://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/ when building the preview URLs. Questions:Is this a known limitation/bug in AEM as a Cloud Service (that the Author UI still tries to render previews via /is/image/)?Should we exp

@apoguptaI am searching for more information on how to use different details in the DM/S7 url, in place of the name of the asset. Right now with the asset name, it is a security issue as it leads directly to accessibility of our visual asset by product id, ,which is in the name. We have heard a different type of url can be created with some other data, ex: asset id, to increase security for the url by removing the ability to guess if you have the product id. It has been difficult to find information on this topic directly from Adobe. I have found in some AI or other search results and from third parties. However, we would like the official answer and confirm the information from Adobe please. Our current set-up:Adobe AEMaaCS with Dynamic Media Classic used to send assets downstream.Example URL:  images.mycompany.com/is/image/products/1011C052_401_SR_RT$sfcc-product$1011C052_401_SR_RT would be substituted with other data instead, but still link to this specific asset

Hi AEM Community,I'm implemented web optimized URL feature of Dynamic Media for custom components.I'm following the documentation to create a proxy OSGi service that can deliver web optimized images. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/cloud-service/developing/advanced/web-optimized-image-delivery-java-apis The code is deployed to all AEM cloud environments. Now the code works on lower environment like DEV and RDE which are using the same Company root folder. Example: companynamedevBut AssetDelivery is retuning "null" in higher environments like STAGE and PROD which are using same Company root folder. Example: companynameprod Any help in debugging and fixing the issue is highly appreciated.  Thanks.  

Hi team,  We've been manually uploading assets to AEM Assets for a few months, but we are ready to use the native metadata mapping integration provided by Workfront. We've tested the native integration and we are able to map metadata from Workfront to AEM Assets fields, but we have been unable to map metadata from Workfront to our AEM Assets tags. For example, we have a custom form with a dropdown field that allows us to capture the intended audience for a specific asset. We would like map that dropdown audience field in Workfront to our audience tag in AEM Assets. Has anyone done this or know how to do it? This could be a big win for our team if we are able to map this information. Thanks in advance! Best,E

Are you able to add subfolders in the "New" folder of an asset contribution folder and still have it work as a contribution folder in the Brand Portal? We are using asset contribution folders in the Brand Portal to serve as an the upload point for assets being created for projects. But many of these projects need to have some structure to the assets they are sending. For example, we have a project for digital banners but need to organize them by the channel they serve. I was hoping to do this by adding a folder structure under the "New" folder and then have the contribution functionality handed down to the children in there. Is that doable or does every subfolder then have to be a separate contribution folder?

I’m part of the AEM Dynamic Media team. We collaborate with customers and partners to promote the adoption of Dynamic Media and share the best practices. Occasionally, we notice customer concerns regarding blurry or dull images delivered through Dynamic Media. Upon investigating these cases, I’ve identified three common reasons that can be effectively resolved by applying a few straightforward best practices. In this article, I’ll outline these practices and demonstrate how Dynamic Media can transform a high-resolution 26 MB TIFF file into a sharp, vibrant 35.6 KB AVIF image. Three Reasons Behind Blurry Images Ingesting low quality imagesWe’ve observed that customers often use JPEG files as input for Dynamic Media. Hello I have a requirement to create API end points to access and do the following in Adobe Experience Cloud Assets,a. Browse assets in a paginated mannerb. Filter assets based on the metadata by applying 1 or more filters at the same time (including custom metadata)c. Search through the assetsd. Download assetsDoes the experience cloud assets have specific APIs to do the same? Or could we use assets API for this? I could not find anything from the documentation on how could I programmatically access experience cloud assets. Any directions or documentation would be much appreciated.Thanks

When we apply filters in AEM Assets UI to narrow down searches, refreshing the page wipes the filters previously applied. Is this expected behaviour? Ideally the filters would remain applied until they are cleared by the user, so the user doesn't have to reapply the filters.Thanks, Niall

 I filter for specific files and I wish to batch edit one field.  If the selected assets are located in different folders, the schema displayed is the OOTB basic schema.  All files selected use the same custom schema.  Is they a solution to be able to batch edit across folders maintaining the custom schema we use for all assets? Thank you.Jim P

Hello, We are planning to transition to Adobe Assets on Adobe Cloud and would like to clarify a couple of points:1.Is Content Hub included as part of Adobe Assets, or does it require a separate license?2.Can assets be shared externally with users outside our firewall? Currently, we use Brandfolder, which allows external users to download assets. Is a similar external sharing experience possible with Content Hub or Adobe Assets?3.Are there any recommended workarounds or solutions within Adobe Assets to enable external asset sharing possibly with UI where assets are organized and can be downloaded? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Has anyone attempted to add 1,000+ Tags to a single Namespace within the Tagging Taxonomy? I have been told by Support that while there is not a technical limit, with more data we may see slower load times or less responsive UI components because of the extra data being processed. Looking to see if anyone has successfully loaded a large set of Tags in AEM and not had any issues. Note: We are working in AEM as a Cloud Service.

We have a relatively large DAM, and we want to unpublish assets as soon as they expire. Is there any OOTB functionality for this? Or if not, what would be the best approach? My first guess is creating a workflow, but not sure what the trigger would be.Appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm trying to download a large asset (around 40GB) from Adobe Experience Cloud. However, after downloading approximately 1GB, the process fails with a "connection lost" error — even though my internet connection remains stable and uninterrupted. I’ve tested this on both Safari and Chrome, and the issue persists in both browsers.I also tried using download managers (such as IDM and Free Download Manager), but they either fail to capture the link properly or still encounter the same interruption.Is there a recommended method for downloading large files from Adobe Experience Cloud?Would using a desktop application like Adobe Bridge help in this situation?Alternatively, is it possible to split the asset into smaller parts for easier download?I'd really appreciate any insights or suggestions from those who’ve experienced a similar issue.Thanks in advance!

Our company is using AEM and it works great for Photoshop and InDesign, and great for storing assets for Illustrator, but if the illustrator file has links in it, I haven't figured out an easy way to link those assets. Before AEM, we had a server where all assets lived and links would not break if someone else opened your doc to edit it because we were all connected to that server. But with AEM, the links do not stay linked once you put the doc and the associated links on the DAM (we file linked assets in different "folders" than the actual illustrator/InDesign project docs). The only way I know to relink is this process, which is very convoluted and time consuming: Open the illustrator file that the co-worker createdWrite down the names of all the files that come up missing (because they all will if they have not been previously linked)Connect with the DAM desktop app (server)Go find asset #1 in the online DamGo back to your illustrator fileClick on asset #1Navigate to the folder

Content fragments located in assets folder (/content/dam/) doesn't sort when Created is selected. Is it possible to sort all the content fragments in AEM Cloud? I tried to test it via on-premise, sorting works as expected

Is there a way to choose the specific renditions youd like ot download in AEM Assets. You can do it in Brand Portal (See attached screenshot) but I haven't been able to find a way to do it in Assets. You can only choose to download ALL renditions (See other attached screenshot). I'd like our users to be able to choose the specific renditions they'd like to download. Taking this question further, is there a way to select specific renditions when linking to assets via Asset Link? That would be extremely helpful as well.
