I am dealing with unclosed resource resolver warnings and working on solutions to fix this. Hi, Some time back I posted a question here about "ZIP file referencing not showing in metadata reference links"... We did not locate what the cause was for the ZIP files not showing that they are referenced in the webpages. Lately I was auditing thousands of docx and pdf files. I used Renovator to export the lists of files from the folders. Then in the CSV sheet filtered out the files that has no references. I cross checked a few randomly picked files in the DAM to make sure they have have no reference links in the asset properties. However, with the help of a few users we found out that many files that were reported as not referenced in the webpages, were actually referenced. I confirmed the files were added to the webpages correctly using asset pick tool. Tested it myself. The reference links in the asset properties did not show up! The documents in the webpage are added in the Accordion component. Can components influence this behaviour?I am out of ideas what ma

Hi All,   I have a use case for executing sling jobs only on one of the publish instance (I want this to run only once). I’m still unclear why AEM requires separate content fragments for each language or locale. This setup creates a significant maintenance burden for authors. Wouldn’t it be more efficient to have a single fragment with language variations organized as tabs?Currently, we have over 500,000 fragments, and managing them across multiple languages is extremely challenging:If an author moves a fragment, they must manually replicate that move across all language versions.If a shared field is updated, it has to be manually changed 12 times—once for each language.If a fragment needs to be unpublished, the author must do it manually for all 12 language versions.If they decide to delete it, they will have to do it 12 times.We can do some kind of automation. But I feel AEM should take care of it or find a better way.This process is not only time-consuming but also error-prone. Hello, I am trying to implement a functionality on our HTML5 forms, where i provide a Import button through the profile (jsp). This Import would look for a partially prefilled PDF, once imported, it should prefill the opened HTML5 form. In case prefilling an already opened HTML5 form is not an option, i am still fine to reload the HTML5 form with data prefilled. So far, i have tried, importing the PDF, the extracted XML structure from PDF is not complete, its missing some tags or probably when AEM converts an XDP to HTML5, the element names are different from XDP field names (?). But overall thats what i am trying, any better approaches or thoughts will be really helpful. Thanks again,Abhishek

Hi All, I am working on a use case where I need to form the path of the work item instance path and share it on the email, so that the user can just click on the workitem path and go to the workitem path directly. But I am not able to form the correct path. I tried using the workitem.getId(), but received a temporary path with VolatileNode in it which does not exist in AEM repository. Any leads to correctly get the workinstance path ?

 I created a custom translator connector based off of the base AEM translator connector project found here: https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/aem-translation-framework-bootstrap-connectorThe translation service is successfully registered and created, the "translateArray" function is called when the job is run, and the content is translated correctly. However, no other methods in my translation service are called except for "isDirectionSupported".  I've gone through the flow several times, with both the default project and the project with my updates, and neither shows any logs from any other function in this class.  I am currently trying to integrate our translation memory, but noticed that nothing else outside of this scope is working.The question is, is there a special configuration that needs to be applied to activate different parts of the custom translation service connector? The factory that creates the service class implements TranslationServiceFa

I'm currently working on an x-walk EDS project. One of our customer's requirements is a tab block that can serve as a container for any type of block within the project.However, we soon realized that EDS generally only allows a single level of nesting. We found a document that suggests customizing sections might be the way to achieve our goal.Unfortunately, the document didn't provide sufficient guidance to accomplish this. We're now looking for any use cases or successful examples of this feature to refer to.Does anyone know of any use cases or successful examples of this feature that we could check out? This is my use-case:1. I create some JSONs and upload it in /content/dam/fmdita-outputs2. Whenever I create new/modify this JSON I want to have these JSON exported [using FileVaultpackageExporter as recommended by google].I have setup my distribution agent that will basically POST the data [e.g action=ADD&path=%2Fcontent%2Fdam%2Ffmdita-outputs%2Fjson%2Fchild-map-1%2Fchild-map-1-topic_dita.json] to some path based servlet which in turn will process this JSON and then export the same using FileVaultpackageExporter.I need help with the servlet - how to leverage the FileVaultpackageExporter to have the JSON exported.Also, I get error as and when I try to distribute any data by making post call to a sample POST servlet. But it works when I setup a dummy node server. An error has occurred while attempting to deliver test package. Within Asset UI/AEMaaCS/AEM Assets when filters are applied while searching, they are cleared after navigating away from the page or if a user refreshes the screen. It would be beneficial to the user experience if the filters remained applied so the user doesn't have to reapply the same filters. This isn't something that can be configured or controlled.

After bulk uploading a large amount of assets to AEM Assets, I noticed that the Dynamic Renditions for some assets with the same name were getting "mixed up" - they have the wrong image content in the renditions. For example:I upload two assets: /content/dam/page1/HeroImage.png and /content/dam/page2/HeroImage.png.Dynamic Media requires unique filenames, so these were created in DM as HeroImage.png and HeroImage-1.png respectively.When I look at the Dynamic Renditions in AEM Assets for /content/dam/page1/HeroImage.png, it's showing the HeroImage-1.png renditions. What is the correct workaround for this? It's not realistic to expect every asset in the DAM to have a unique name.
