AEM Frontend Architecture Guide: Classic, JAMStack, or EDS?  by @daniel-strmecki   Introduction Choosing the right frontend architecture in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is no longer just a technical decision; it’s a strategic one. Whether you opt for a classic AEM server-side component approach with HTL, a modern JAMStack implementation with frameworks like React and Next.js, or Adobe's Edge Delivery Services (EDS), each choice impacts time-to-market, SEO, authoring experience, and scalability. This guide will help you align your frontend architecture with your business goals and future-proof your digital experiences. With AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), Adobe has shifted towards a more composable and scalable content delivery model. The frontend layer is now a critical part of the decision-making process, influencing authoring workflows, site performance, operations, and integration flexibility. Businesses should choose an architecture that aligns with their

To whom it may concern,  When I clicked on the AEM installer, I received this error message:"It seems that your Adobe ID is not linked with your Adobe Experience Cloud solution accounts" I cannot download any of the AEM installers. Can you help me to solve this matter? Warm regards,Gisela

I am currently working on a POC for Machine translation. In my local I couldn't setup as its asking for subscription key. So tried creating Translation Integration Config in lower cloud environment, and mapped it to my page (My Site - Language Master - Language Copy root page (English, Russian and Arabic) - in Page Properties Advance Tab Cloud Configuration path - It taking up /conf/mysite path but I tried to replace it with /conf/mysite/settings/cloudconfigs/translation after reading a blog. I have then created Translation Project and Jobs, Set translation rules by adding path of the project components(Page,Text, XF, Title) used in test page, inside the jobs added my pages, but when I start the translation Job its showing "Error Update"  as status for page. For Tags Metadate its showed ready for review and showed accept translation option.I would like to what is missed? should I push conf related changes via code base and then check the flow, or any config or setup missed?

What a Kickoff! Over 100 AEM fans from across India came together—virtually and in spirit—for our first-ever AEM India User Group meetup on July 10. The chat was buzzing, the vibes were high, and the energy?  Let’s just say…you had to be there! This wasn’t just another tech session—it felt like the start of something bigger: a local community of smart, curious, and generous AEM professionals ready to share ideas, tools, and inside tips.   Highlights You Don’t Want to Miss:  “Why we’re here” One of our AEM champions, @divanshug, Senior AEM Consultant at TechX, shared the real reason behind this initiative: “India has one of the largest AEM user bases in the world—so why not build a local space to learn, share, and grow together?”   Tools and takeaways didn’t disappoint either: AEM Fiddle from ACS Tools Seen it in docs? Now you’ve seen it live. This dev-fave lets you test Use scripts, troubleshoot servlets, and run JCR queries—all without a full deployment cycle. &nbs

MyBatis, a popular Java persistence framework, simplifies database access for developers. It achieves this by mapping Java objects to SQL statements, significantly reducing the manual data mapping required. MyBatis supports XML configuration files and annotations, allowing developers to manage their database interactions per their needs. Integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with MyBatis can be achieved by configuring AEM to utilize MyBatis for executing database operations. The integration process typically involves: Setting up data source configurations. Defining MyBatis mappers. Establish appropriate service layers within AEM to interact with MyBatis to perform database operations. Integrating MyBatis with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) involves several steps and architectural components. Here's a high-level overview of how you might structure the integration: AEM Components and Services: AEM handles the presentation layer and user interactions. It includes componen

Managing IP Access for AEM as a Cloud Service with IP Allow Lists by Abhishek Caleb    AEM as a Cloud Service: Enhancing Security with IP Allow Lists Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service is a powerful platform for managing digital experiences. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for creating, managing, and delivering content across various channels. While AEM’s default security measures, such as user authentication and authorization, ensure protection against unauthorized access, additional layers of security can further enhance the platform’s resilience. As AEMaaCS doesn’t restrict dispatcher or publish domains by default, they are publicly accessible. To enhance security, it’s recommended to add authorized IP addresses to the allow list, restricting access to your organization or specific users.   Read Full ArticleManaging IP Access for AEM as a Cloud Service with IP Allow Lists

Hi all, I am downloading aem-guides-wknd with the below command. mvn -B org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-archetype-plugin:3.2.1:generate \-D archetypeGroupId=com.adobe.aem \-D archetypeArtifactId=aem-project-archetype \-D archetypeVersion=39 \-D appTitle="WKND Sites Project" \-D appId="wknd" \-D groupId="com.adobe.aem.guides" \-D artifactId="aem-guides-wknd" \-D package="com.adobe.aem.guides.wknd" \-D version="0.0.1-SNAPSHOT" \-D aemVersion="6.5" Where is AEM Archetype coming in to picture here? Do I have to download  AEM Archetype first and run the above command for WKND Sites Project?Or the above command for WKND Sites Project internally contains AEM Archetype and so no need to download AEM Archetype separately? Also What does -D archetypeVersion=39 in the above command indicate? Appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.

Hi,When we try to move the page, the page gets moved in the destination and existing page gets deleted. This is working fine for blueprint pages. But,when we check the live copy of that page, the page got moved to the new location and the existing page remains in the old location. I have added pagemoveaction config and also tried to overlay the orderlist and ordered pagemoveaction config above the standard rollout config. Still the issue exists. Thanks,Abirami

Sling Scheduled Jobs vs Sling Scheduler by Jörg Hoh Abstract Apache Sling and AEM provide 2 different approaches to start processes at a given time or in a given interval. It is not always trivial to make the right decision between these two, and I have seen a few cases of misuse already. Let’s dive into this topic and I will outline in what situation to use the Scheduler and when to use Scheduled Jobs. Execute code exactly once at a given time That’s a case for the scheduled job. Even if the job is failing because the executing SLING instance goes down, it will be re-scheduled and tried again. Here the exactly once semantics means that this is a single job with a global scope. Missing it is not an option. It might be delayed if the triggering date is missed or the execution is aborted, but it will be executed as soon as possible after the scheduled time has passed. Periodic jobs which effect just a single AEM instance Use the scheduler whenever you execute periodic/incremental job

Hi, We have an issue with previewing assets in AEM 6.4.7 version.Whenever we upload an asset, it gets uploaded successfully(after completion of Dam Asset Update workflow) but once we click on the asset to preview it, we do not see the image. It shows a blank screen as shown in the screenshot.Only when we select 'Renditions' from the left panel as highlighted below we are able to see all the renditions but if we select 'content only' from left panel we do not see the image in full screen. I do not see any specific error related to this in error logs or Dynamic media logs but the only error that shows up in console is as shown in the screenshot - a 400 Bad request from s7viewerss7sdkJSONResponse. Any thoughts on this ?

ui.frontend module overview  by @imran__khan OverviewThis blog will provide complete end to end understanding of AEM ui.frontend module in terms of architecture, working and creating brand new clientlib. Creation of AEM project using maven archetype generates AEM ui.frontend module based on webpack. ui.frontend module is completely responsible for having resource(such as font, image, etc. ), CSS, JS, etc. files. Hi all, What is the path in JCR for AEM Core Component Title? I am looking for /libs/core/wcm/components/title.But my /libs does not have core folder.Attached screen shot.Rather the path /libs/wcm/core/components is available, but no Title component underneath. I have a brand installation of AEM 6.5 on my laptop and have installed only aem-service-pkg-6.5.23.0.zip on it. Appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.

We're experiencing a problem with the rollout functionality where deselecting specific locales in the rollout dialog has no effect. Changes are still applied to all live copy pages, including those that were explicitly unchecked. AEM Version: 6.5.13 Steps to reproduce:Visit http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/we-retail/language-masters/en/experience.htmlChange some of the text in the hero (e.g: `Experiences` -> `Experiences Test`)Go to the rollout screen for the pageDeselect rolling out to `/content/we-retail/ca/en/experience`Perform the rolloutVisit http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/we-retail/ca/en/experience.htmlSee that the Hero text has changed even though that page was unchecked on the rollout screenExpected results:Only the selected locales should receive the updates. Unchecked locales should be excluded from the rollout. When I look at the request that's made to the server, I don't see anything related to what's checked or unchecked in the pay

Hi all, Let us say I have created an Experience Fragment. When clients with different view ports require and request it, how AEM sends the right variant of it?Based on client view port the experience and Experience Fragment should be different. So, AEM creates Experience Fragments for each of view port sizes? How does it know which variant should be served for which client? Appreciate all your responses, Thanks,RK.
