How are users handling notifications to users when they are on PTO. We are using the PTO calendar in Workfront but there's no way to set an automated message or any image that says on their name they are on PTO.
What are other companies doing to ensure no communication is missed?

we mostly handle it outside the system, although I do suggest to users who are going to be gone for a while, that they can change their name, like "skye hansen OOO until 12/31". I've also offered to deactivate users if they take a longer leave of absence. In terms of assigned work, usually their team mates have dashboards to look over or take over their work.

I'm going to test this but we are SSO so anytime anyone logs in again it reverts back to their Active Directory First name and Last name.

are they... logging in while they are on LOA? Otherwise yes, it's quite handy that once they log in again, they don't have to change their name

Some definitely do log in. I did test for a user now and if they don't log in it looks like it still works. I'm going to propose this out to some smaller teams to test more.
