Unified Approvals: Proofs (Being discontinued?) vs Documents

Avatar

Level 2

Will the current workflow of proofs (making mark-ups, sending for approvals, etc.) be discontinued and the new workflow of the document approvals be the new process soon? We really use proof approvals because it's the best process for us instead of one-off approvals. Thanks so much!

@skyehansen is correct, @BrittanyGarrett. You can use doc approvals instead of proof approvals and still have access to markups and related functionality. We don’t currently have plans to require this switch.

That said, in the future, once the Unified Review & Approval experience is fully rolled out (timeline TBD), doc approvals will serve as the approvals engine. If you’re able to start adopting doc approvals sooner, it will put you in a stronger position for that transition.

I believe the new doc approvals are replacing the current doc approvals functionality and there's no change to proof approval workflow functionality, nor is there any immediate plan to discontinue this.
