Task Form with Project Fields

I have a task level form that contains fields from a project level form. These fields are all calculated fields that reference fields from the project form. Their formulas are as follows: {project}.{DE:Required Sampled Date}. They do not update when the project level is updated, how would I get them to auto update without recalculating expressions, am I doing this the wrong way?

Formulas like you're describing only recalculate when something is changed on the object displaying them, or recalculate expressions is performed. They do not auto-update otherwise. 

In my instance I've trained Fusion to watch a few key places and force that recalculation but it's somewhat limited. I've considered having it do a full recalculation nightly on everything but it hasn't been enough of a priority to make the roadmap.
