Status Updates when user clicks "Work on it"

Avatar

When our users are clicking "Work On it" from the Work Requests tab there is a status update posted that says "Going Smoothly." Is there a way to turn that off? We have some projects with several hundred tasks and to get this update each time someone chooses to work on a task could get overwhelming and frustrating. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Shelly,

I'm not sure if there is a way to turn that off, but I almost always click on the Filter System Updates link when viewing update streams.0690z000007ZkR0AAK.png

I know we can do that.... Was hoping to cut down on the white noise this creates.

Shelley, you can try to go to Setup -> Interface -> Update feeds -> Object Type: Tasks and then uncheck Status. Cheers.

Thanks Polly. Is that really status or is that condition?

I changed Condition for Tasks and Issues. I will let you all know how that goes. Initial test looks like this worked. Thanks everyone!!

There are no fields checked for me (see attached file), yet we see the condition status constantly in our update feed. How did you get that condition (going smoothly) to STOP coming into your update feed? There are way to many and I need to turn that off.0690z000007ZjomAAC.jpg

Benetta - Mine haven't completely stopped either but unchecking this helped reduce the number of times we see it. Shelly Long, PMP, CSSGB Marketing Traffic Manager Pier 1 Imports Accelerate to Excellence

strange, as the picture shows - i have NOTHING checked - to uncheck. So I am stomped as to how to try to reduce it in my feed. 0690z000007ZiaeAAC.jpgI've had the same annoyance with the updates. It looks like you need to check the condition and then remove it from the list. (See attached) You can always add it back later if you need to.

It would be best if Workfront make the condition deselected by default and only update it if a user chooses a condition when they update the task. That way we could still use the condition but not be overwhelmed by it. A lot of users ask me why Workfront is saying that they said things which they didn't. It erodes a bit of faith in the system, and that they might get caught out by it.

thank you for the visual solution. I have now removed that annoying status message from the feed.
