Set a custom date field value based on a custom field status value

Hi everyone, does anyone has any experience or knows how to prevent a user from entering a date later than today's date on a custom date field? Thanks in advance for your help! Nuria Munguia TD Bank

Hi Nuria, There is no way to validate custom text parameters (other than making them required, or being a valid datatype; eg Text, Date, Number, etc). The closest solution (albeit reactive) is to use a calculated parameter and/or Advanced settings in a view to highlight whether the data entered is valid (eg make the column "red" in a list view if the date is greater than today). Thank you Doug! appreciate the feedback, will try it. Right now i got it as far as a calculated field with IF statements and a calculated field that defaults to today's date when displayed. Thanks again. Nuria Munguia TD Bank
