Reports: Difference between completes

Avatar

Level 4

I'm creating a completed task report. Can someone tell me the difference between these filters:

Task >> is complete - Equal (Case Sensitive)-  True/False  (I would select true)

vs

Task >> Status - Equal - Complete

Are they the same and pulling the same data?  Is there reason to use one or the other?

Thanks!

The difference comes into play if you have any custom statuses. Task Status Equal will pull in only those in the specified status. So if you’re pulling Complete, it’ll pull only Complete. But if you have custom statuses that equate with Complete, those won’t pull in because you’re saying status equals complete.
If you use custom statuses, I recommend using Status Equates With instead of Equals so you can capture anything complete or equivalent. The true/false option is the same thing as this one I believe, but I like equates with to be safe.
