The difference comes into play if you have any custom statuses. Task Status Equal will pull in only those in the specified status. So if you’re pulling Complete, it’ll pull only Complete. But if you have custom statuses that equate with Complete, those won’t pull in because you’re saying status equals complete.
If you use custom statuses, I recommend using Status Equates With instead of Equals so you can capture anything complete or equivalent. The true/false option is the same thing as this one I believe, but I like equates with to be safe.
