Project Users and Job Roles Columns In Expense Report?

I'd like to display the project users and job roles within my expense report. I found the link below, but I would like to transcribe this to an expense report, rather than a view. I was able to get the columns to populate - however its not pulling in the project user data. I am a novice at text mode, but I think this can be done. Can someone help?
