Project Details Screen - is there a way to hide fields?

Project Details Screen - is there a way to hide fields? Create a Layout Template? For example, I want to simplify the Project Details Screen so it's only the fields I need the user to fill in when they are creating new - I want them to ignore all the other fields that are setup as defaults, how can I do this? Currently, there are so many standard fields that our users won't be using or that we are setting up for them, it's a lot of scrolling. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any way you can do this, and that's most likely why there's been so few responses. Of course, you can set most (but not all) fields via a template, however the users still need to scroll through a lot, as you say. The only other option I can think of is that you can just copy an existing project and present users with only the important fields to edit via a project report/view. Regards, David

I don't know if i'm seeing the same screen, but you say "it's a lot of scrolling". My whole detail screen fits on my monitor - even on my 15" laptop screen there is barely any scrolling.

Oh, so on the "Edit Project" page. One thing that may help is you can click on the links to the left and jump right to any of those sections.

Thank you! This confirms what I was afraid of - we do have a report where they can edit information once it’s been created and we have templates so when they create a new project most of the data is populated. I’ll see if we can get users trained to just edit in the report - that might work vs. having them go to Project Settings. Thanks!
