Hi,
We are nearing our storage limit in Workfront and I've been spending time clearing out documents and various other bits to reduce the risk of actually hitting the limit and then being unable to upload new docs. Ideally we don't want to get to the point of needing to pay for additional storage. We use AEM Assets linked to Workfront so this should be used for storing nearly everything (except for Proofs which we do through Workfront), but users haven't been great at this in the past so we are working through moving files saved in Workfront to AEM to help free up some space.
I wondered if anyone with experience in this area might have any tips that could help? Below are some questions I've had, if anyone can help clarify these?
- When I delete documents, I'm always 30 days behind as files are stored here for 30 days until permanently deleted. I've seen a couple of 'ideas' posted on Experience League which I have 'liked', asking for an option to permanently delete things manually, but does anyone have any workarounds for this to see results quicker?
- Proofing - as I understand it, documents within the 'Trash' in Workfront Proof count towards our Workfront storage allowance. I can only see the option to 'Empty Trash' and not to select certain files to remove. Can anyone confirm this is the case, or is there a way to be more selective?
- If I were to 'Empty Trash' in Workfront Proof (or clear certain files if that's an option), do these get added to the recycle bin in Workfront, or are these instantly deleted?
If there are any other tips that anyone might have for immediate solutions to clearing up some storage availability in Workfront too, they would be appreciated!
Thank you
Lana
