Moving from Monday.com to Workfront

Another department in our organization is moving from Monday to our instance of Workfront. Has anyone had experience with moving data/current projects/forms/etc., from Monday to Workfront? Wanted to make sure there weren't automated options available before starting to do this manually. Thank you.

The most cost effective and efficient way is to use Kickstart. Workfront has out of box functionality for creating new projects/tasks and a lot of other objects in bulk using an excel template. With the maximum limit of 2000 per upload.

the other option is to use Fusion (middleware for API integration) if you have a huge amount of data to migrate. You would need a paid license for Fusion to do that though.

You can use Kickstarts to import your data into Workfront. You can import large numbers of objects into Workfront using a Kick-Start template. However, consider the following limitations:

  • Importing data this way doesn’t update information on records that already exist in Workfront.
  • You can import only new records and their information.
  • Import no more than 2,000 records at a time to ensure that the import does not time out

List of objects you can import:
