SOLVED

Is there a way to program the status for a request converted into a project in the following scenario:

We have requests coming in that will end up on our 3 year roadmap. We want to convert those requests into holding projects for reporting/tracking purposes. We'd like for the request status to equal "ROADMAP" when the resolving project status is "ROADMAP".

Thank you!

Hi Olivia,

This article on Workfront One explains how to achieve the syncing of custom statuses between resolving and resolvable objects in the system.

In short (as Kundan indicated), you would need to build a ROADMAP custom status for both projects and issues. Note that you must ensure that the key (the 3 character code used to reference this status in the background) is the same for both statuses. Then when you convert a request into a project and tie it's resolution to that project, the status will automatically sync.

Rich

Hi @Olivia Miasik‚

If understand correctly, you can create a status with name as "ROADMAP" and equate this with status as highlighted in the attachment.

Then that can be used in your request handling until project.

Thank you! That article helped - I was missing the step to have the codes of the statuses be the same. Appreciate the help!
