Is there a way of reoccurring creating a daily task without producing hundreds of unique tasks?

We have projects which contain numerous reoccurring tasks and this is making viewing and navigating the through the project cumbersome. Some of these reoccurring tasks require hundreds of entries. I know we can minimise the parent tasks, but it seems random on whether these parent tasks remain open or closed by default, so often the project needs tidying up before it's used. It's also not fun having all these rows in the Workload Balancer.

Has anyone found a way of doing this in a easier / tidier way?
