I use the Workfront extension for InDesign and every time I generate a proof it gives people weird roles. For instance, some people are given "Reviewer & Approver" while others are given "Reviewer." I'm sure it has something to do with their role in the system, but I'd like for everyone I add to be a "Reviewer & Approver" and for me to be a "Reviewer" (I don't need to submit a decision on proofs I create). Is there some way to change that? At the moment, I have to open the proof in workfront and manually change the roles in the proof workflow every time I create a proof from the extension and it gets annoying.
I've tried making templates, but each proof I create has different approvers so I can't always forsee what groups of people to include in a template and I don't necessarily want a million templates.
To my knowledge, setting proof recipient roles within the extension is not currently possible, but it would be a great feature. If no workaround for this exists, can someone point me to a feature request page if one exists?
Thank you!

I haven't been in there in forever but I remember not being able to specify reviewer or approver if you add a basic/simple proof, you could only modify the proof role if using an automated workflow/proof approval template. So that ended up leaving designers to create the proof in WF instead to have more control over the roles. The default roles generated in a basic proof pulls from the users default proof role set up in the proofing area of the instance (which only sys admins can modify).
The information you provided at the end of your message helped me find it!
In the Workfront Proof HQ, if you click "Workflows," then the "Users" tab, you can change each person's default proof role. Now I can change the relevant ones to "Reviewer and Approver."
Thank you 🙂

I think you can click the "share an idea" button on this page:
https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/idb-p/workfront-ideas
This would be the closest thing to a feature request page we have, and is what Support normally recommends.
If you can't see or click the button, it may be restricted to authorized service contacts only. In which case you would coordinate this ask with your Workfront system admin.
