Incorrect Timesheet Approval Manager

Hello all, One of our employees recently changed job roles. Her role, teams, and manager have been changed in Workront. However, her timesheets are still being sent to her old manager for approval. The timesheet profile she's assigned to is configured to send approvals to the employees assigned manager. We're scratching our heads a bit as it appears everything is configured correctly to send the approval requests to her new manager. Is this something any of you have experienced and could provide some insight on? Thanks! Brian Murphy The Kenan Advantage Group Inc

Hi Brian, We've had the same issue with one user. We are also stumped as to what is causing it - we wondered if it was the timing of the update and the Timesheet had to cycle through a week, but that didn't seem to be it. Definitely interested to hear if anyone has any other ideas on the cause! Allison Sizemore Advantage | ForbesBooks

I would guess this is happening because the employee's existing timesheets are already set up with the former supervisor as the Approver for those timesheets. The timesheet profile only sets the Approver for timesheets that get created moving forward (it doesn't do anything to the existing timesheets). So you'll generally experience a "lag" when you move an employee elsewhere in the organization. To fix, you have to manually change the Approvers for those timesheets to your new supervisor, and the new supervisor will receive the timesheets for approval. You can do this by going to the All Timesheets subtab and searching for the employee's existing Open timesheets. The Standard View shows who the Approver(s) are for each timesheet; you can edit it there. Eric Manning Language Line Translation Solutions

This ended up being the issue. When looking at the employees timesheets we noticed they're generating an extra week into the future. We assumed we would need to wait until the end of the current week for the updated approver to appear on the following week's timesheet, but since that next timesheet had already been generated and assigned to the old approver we had to update it manually.
