I need a report showing the date that (certain) users last uploaded a proof.

I've been asked for a report that shows the last date that designers (for example) uploaded a proof.

I'm not sure how to accomplish this. I don't see anything for proofs along the lines of lastNote, that is used for updates.

It can be super simple, just showing the user name and the date of their most recent proof that was uploaded.

Wondering is anyone else has created a similar report, or has thoughts that could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

You've left out some information here but this would probably be best started as a document version report where the filter starts off with "Document Version | Is Current Version = true)"

There's some muddiness around "uploading a proof" which I'll try and explain. If the user who is uploading the file is ALSO creating the proof, then I would guess you can run a filter off the Proof Creator ID? (Maybe the Entered By ID would be safer, this is up to you)

I also don't know how you're identifying designers in your instance, so this is about all I can do to help.

Thank you for the reply, Skye. I will likely use the Proof Creator>>Home Team ID to filter for user's that I'm interested in. Proof Creator>>Manager ID would also work, if that would be better for any reason.

I use the Document Version is current version in other reports, but I don't know how to just see the most recent file (specifically interested in proofs) that the user has uploaded/created.

For example,

  • "Joe" created proofs on November 5, 7 and 8
  • The report should show Joe's most recent proof was on November 8
  • This isn't project dependent - just the date of Joe's most recently created proof

Hopefully that clarifies what I'm trying to do.

Thank you!

This sort of question comes up a lot. As far as I know, there's currently not a way to do that in the system, but you could maybe use one of @Doug_Den_Hoed__AtAppStore 's reporting solutions.

I also suggest you look into canvas dashboards. I'm pretty sure there's nothing there right now, but if something was going to show up, it would be in this space.
