Display groups of tasks based on user's selection in a custom form

My group's tasks (task groups) shift as the project is being worked on. We apply one long template that includes all possible tasks and then delete groups of tasks as we realize the work is not necessary to complete or not required of the project. We've tried to be very organized with the groups of tasks to make deleting easier, but wondered if there was an easier way. Can we link a group of tasks to show based on how we complete a custom form? For example, list the group of tasks available in the form, and then as they are checked off have them remain or removed from the project? Thanks!

I believe this can be achieved only by using Fusion automation based on a path driving key custom selection of the user.
