Convert proof guest to user

One of my new employees is listed as a guest in ProofHQ - so she is not able to upload a proof. I can't find how to convert her to a user. I've looked in the settings in proof HQ as well as her settings in Workfront. What am I missing? Other new users automatically got the appropriate user role so I'm not sure why her access is different. Any insight would be appreciated. Kristin Kuennen Veridian Credit Union

Hi Kristin, Does the new user (in Workfront) have a work or plan license associated with their account? Sean

I maybe crazy but there used to be a checkmark for Proof in the People setup and now I don't see it. There is an access level for Proof Profile that maybe isn't at the right level? I want to follow this topic, because the setup looks different than I recall the last time I looked at this.

I agree - everything I've found in the help article's references check marking being able to upload a proof and that option is not under the individuals profile any longer. Kristin Kuennen Veridian Credit Union

I am also having trouble adding groups in the PHQ side. It is a known problem, maybe this is all connected. Samantha Senior Specialist, Creative Services 817-424-2186

Regarding the Documentation I contacted support back in December 2018 in regards to this issue. We were getting confused by the documentation and the lack of the check-mark for "User can generate proofs". We were told by support that there were changes made to the proofing plans (sometime in 2018). We were told that anyone with Worker access level or above will be able to generate proofs with this new plan. It turns out that this checkmark is only available for organizations using a legacy Select of Premium Workfront Plan. They've updated the documentation to detail this- but it's easy to gloss over: "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/217045797-Enabling-and-Disabling-Proofing-for-Users" title="https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/217045797-Enabling-and-Disabling-Proofing-for-Users">https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/217045797-Enabling-and-Disabling-Proofing-for-Users Regarding your Issue I'm not sure why that Planner user isn't able to generate proofs in your environment. We had issues in the past with Workfront auto-provisioning users in Proof. We'd also experience scenarios in which a user would manually type out a person's email address in a proof- therefore making a "duplicate" guest account in proof. Perhaps something like that is convoluting the issue? Satchell Mische-Richter Quality Bicycle Products

Thank you everyone for the responses. I ended up submitting a ticket to support and they had to force sync her access to update to a user. So strange. Kristin Kuennen Veridian Credit Union

We are on the integrated version of Proof (and the legacy plan so we still have the checkmark) but we semi-frequently need to resync a user's proof setting in WF to get it to sync back to PHQ on the backend. So we'll uncheck the proof box, save, and then recheck it and save for the user. The user sync can be a bit wonky :( Katherine Haven, PMP VP, Director, Business Technologies - PMO FCB
