Convert Issue from a Template but into same Project

My team will create an issue for another team. The other team has 5 standard tasks that need to be done but only when this issue is created so we do not what to add it as a standard part of our main template. Is there a way to have the issue convert from a template but into the same project? Thanks!

This is a great question. I'm interested in if anyone has tried this.

Our workaround for this is to convert the issue to a single task on the same project that the issue is in, then attach the project template containing the additional tasks with that newly converted task as the parent to the template tasks.

The nice part is that the issue closes out once all the tasks under that parent are complete.
