Can large thubnails be nested in a proof approval report?

I wanted to know if it is possible to nest large thumbnails into a proof approval report.

like an image of the actual document. I found this workaround but it doesn't seem to display anything if there is more than one version of the document.

I haven't been able to find a solution  
Your code above works for me BUT brings back the document's preview - which always is the currentVersion
