Can I create an automatic "Projects" drop-down for an Issue?

I have an issue custom form called "Change Request" and I want to add a drop-down asking whether the CR involves a transfer of funds from the current project to another project. Then, if someone chooses 'Yes', it would then a show a 'Projects' drop-down which would let them choose the relevant project from the system for the budget to be transferred to. Is such a field possible without having to manually keep a list of projects updated? Jamie Hill JLL

Hi Jamie, Workfront does not (yet) offer custom data parameters that reflect other internal Workfront objects in real time (e.g. as with your Project idea, Users is another popular concept). Given that, although you could manually update such a drop downs (or even use the API to do so), unless there is a finite, relatively static, small (e.g. 1 to perhaps 100, and definitely <2000) set of information, I'd recommend taking a different approach. In your case, I'd suggest you present a list of Projects (perhaps filtered by $$USER) against which each user MIGHT want to raise an Issue (or simply just teach them to use the Search functionality), train them to filter for / find on page / click the Project in question, then raise an Issue under the Issues tab. Personally, find it easiest to create an Issues view, as below. Regards, Doug Doug Den Hoed - AtAppStore SEE you at LEAP using the GPS App! https://tinyurl.com/LEAPGPS Got Skills? Thanks Doug - I like your workaround for this. We're battling at the moment to get PMs to input planned hours in their tasks and not just duration (maybe worth a separate thread!) so will keep this in my back pocket. Jamie Hill JLL
