We are exploring the campaign #Betas‚ , and are interested to learn if we can expect it to do a few things:
1) Will the #Requests‚ queue process support the campaign object? In other words, can you convert an issue to a campaign?2) If yes, can you apply a #[Custom Forms]‚ to the campaign object? If no, can you apply a custom form to the object after creation?
3) The existing documentation under "create campaigns" suggests the user can fill out a set of "campaign details" upon creation. Having an intake form applied to the object would allow us to add #[Custom Field]‚ s beyond the short list that you have there. Hoping we somehow can accommodate custom forms to a #campaign.
4) Will the campaign object and its associated fields/metadata be exposed and available to call or push through an API?

Hi Katharine,
Glad to see that you've explored Campaign Beta. To your questions.
And last but not least, we are planning to support minimal scope of Custom Forms in Campaign with 23.1, it may not include conversion, but that's something on our short term plans, so it'll be there.
Best regards,
Vardan

@Vardan Aslanyan‚ This is all incredible news. Thank you for the detailed response.
One other follow up:
Will we have the ability to retroactively add projects to campaigns post release? So, let's say we have 10 projects that were created under campaign 12345 but prior to campaigns existing in Workfront. Once the release happens, can we create campaign 12345 and then retroactively tie these pre-existing projects to campaign 12345? Obviously, we'd have to keep track of those relationships on our own in order to be able to make that association post release.
hi @Katharine Sullivan‚ just to elaborate a little bit more on your question.
When you say "we have 10 projects created under campaign 12345 prior to Campaign object existing in Workfront" you mean that the projects has been created under Program (which I assume you utilize as Campaign) and you want to understand how transition will be done or you're actually talking about current Beta Campaign object?
Thanks,
Vardan

@Vardan Aslanyan‚ Yes, they would belong to a program of some sort or, in the very least, a portfolio. I'm just wondering if we have the ability to tie them to a campaign object retroactively

@Katharine Sullivan‚ Yes, that would be possible. The flow would be the same as if you try to change program of an existing Project with some minor enhancements to user experience.
Best,
Vardan
