Task Description ad Reference Number in Header (customize header?)

More generally, it would be nice if we could customize what is displayed in the task header in NWE.

More specifically, my NWE users miss having the task description and task reference number in the header so it can be at-a-glance no matter what part of the left navigation they are on. Removing these two fields is causing additional clicks on a regular basis.

I agree, I feel that the reference number should be displayed with ease vs, clicking around outside of your current view. I also think the project header should incorporate the Ref. number automatically. We too do extra manual work to populate the reference number.

I support allowing admins to control and customize what is displayed in project, issue and task headers. Specific use case: Remove Planned Completion Date field in a request, and insert a custom date field mapped from the request custom form (the requested due date entered by the requester).

We're recent adopters of the new UI. So, far, the biggest complaints from our test group our users is that object (tasks and project, specifically) reference number and description are difficult to access. Not having easy access to object reference number and description is slowing them down and frustrating.

For task object, users are very annoyed that they can not see the description and updates at the same time. We need to be able to see both simultaneously.

Ref number and other items are now available to show with 22.4 release and you can also remove items. This goes for project header and issue headers as well!

Hi there, you can do this via layout templates. When you go into a layout template and select the Project, Task, Request/Issues types, you can see what pulls into the headers and modify them with certain fields.
