Reporting/Views: Open links in new tabs

When clicking on a link in a link in a view the user leaves the current page and is redirected to the linked page/object. Especially when the user wants to drill down into an object from a dashboard and later come back to the dashboard this behavior is very time consuming, as the user needs to reload the dashboard every single time.

We would like to be able to decide whether a link should be opened in a new tab or reload the current page. I imagine a selection option in the "advanced settings" in the edit column menu, or using text mode HTML like on websites.

The current workaround is to click on the link with "Left"+"Ctrl"(Win)/"click"+"Command"(Mac) or "Left"+"Shift"+"Ctrl"(Win)/"click"+"Shift"+"Command"(Mac)
