I wonder why this hasn't been implemented already? I feel like WorkFront has been around for awhile now and it doesn't make sense why Macs are not up to date when most Marketing teams use a Mac.
I want to be able to access WorkFront from my Outlook and also to track outlook calendar data in WorkFront.
My team wants to use less separate window tools, thus being able to do all this in Outlook like Window users can already do would get more buy in from my team.
I've been asking for this for a while now but WorkFront have always said it's down to Microsoft as to why it's not available to Mac Users. It's very definitely needed, though, and would make all our lives much easier. I'm sure it's not beyond the capabilities of the two companies to get together and sort this out.
This is what we were told by one of the speakers at a London WorkFront User Group. He said that because Outlook is a Microsoft product and not Apple, it's difficult to get the information needed to develop an Outlook plug-in off them.
Thank you for your reply. I wonder if we have a contact for WF team to see if they can push this agenda onto MSFT to allow for the plugin to get rolling
Hi. If you are using Office 365, you can install the new Workfront add-in for Outlook 365 which works equally well both on PCs and Macs. Here are the setup instructions.
I don't think that is what we are wanting, correct me if I am wrong but it appears the link you shared gives us the plugin that allows to convert any email to a task/issue or to "add to my work"
We are wanting to be able to access WorkFront from within Outlook, usually there is a folder on the left and when you click it you can use Workfront from within Outlook
and there is a function on the Windows version where you can log hours in outlook to WorkFront from within Outlook calendar.
This logging hours is a big big need for my company. My employees are not liking having to create an outlook calendar meeting/event and then having to go into WorkFront and log it there too.
