Manually Closing Proofs

Can you create a way to manually close a proof? We have instances where we have to move forward with a project after a certain timeline whether we get approvals on it or not. In this instance, the proof remains overdue on the person's Home page even though we've continued without their decision. It would be great if there was a way to manually close down a proof, kind of similar to how you can manually lock a proof, where there is maybe another letter in the SOCD blocks that shows that the proof was manually closed, and it will no longer show up as late on anyone's list.
