Locking folders in Projects (Documents tab)

Would be nice to lock folders so requesters cannot see assets until ready for them to review. Currently, requesters are viewing the "review" files that are meant for the art directors. Only solution we found was to "unshare" the requester from the project. Not ideal I must say.

@patty We've solved this issue by having our clients/requesters as only able to view tasks which they have an actionable item in a project. In this, we've build custom dashboards so that they have the ability to see the tasks they have access to and the documents tab from the task but they do not have access to the whole project. It has reduced our churn by 90% easily. Especially with large projects that has 1000s of documents we're working in.

We assign the designer to upload the files into an "Approvals" task line and the sponsor/client/requester/reviewer (not sure how you name your 'free' licenses) is on as an approver. They get a ping when it's set to complete-pending approval which they then have access to just that task line and it's documents. All revisions are also tracked in that line which allows us to have a metric per client for #rounds to help keep our clients and team members accountable. We're currently at 1.5 rounds before client approvals. :)

We've been facing the same issue here, so I've upvoted...I like Jeannie's solution, but in our case our reviewers are also the project sponsors that submit requests and denying them access to any documents that haven't been explicitly shared with them might cause more work than the alternative of removing their access on documents they should not see... Ideally for us, we would have the option of locking the Creative folder on our templates, and be set.
