Keep Schedule View on Home / My Work Page in next upgrade

One of the best improvements in the current home page was the replacement of the old calendar at the top of the screen with the scheduling view. This allowed worker to see their daily allocation. It appears that this improvement will be lost with the functionality currently in the beta. I request that the scheduling view still be made available to workers. If not on the home / my work page, then in some other easy to access location.

Thank you

Calendar, chart, anything really so that Workers can see their daily allotment of hours. We have RMs and Dept Leads doing resource contouring to set up priorities and how much time should be spent on a task for a specific day, but there isn't anything for the Worker to actually see that information. :(

1000% agree. The new Home Calendar's concept of letting users plan what they're going to work on and when is counter to the traditional workflow of the system. Sure, that would be OK for additional personal tasks, but we need to see the planned hours from project work, which have been painstakingly planned by project/resource managers.

Fortunately (and I hope this is still the case), I have been told that the old My Work Calendar will not be removed until suitable replacement functionality to show pre-planned work is provided on the new Home Calendar.

Thank you for your support. I was hoping for more up votes to get this into consideration with WF product management. Any thoughts on how to gain traction or visibility?

Also, I saw a comment that the functionality would not be removed without a viable replacement. Have you heard / seen anything similar?

Thanks.

Well, one thing to keep in mind, they believe in "value to value" parity and not "function to function." They aren't looking for the exact same thing but something similar, which is pretty broad. I have a sinking feeling that they are going to consider the Calendar feature in Home the same value as the calendar in My Work even though the hours and durations are set by the end user and not the Resource Manager. (Also, it doesn't work for people who have O365 Enterprise, yet)

If customers don't agree that the replacement is "value to value" (i.e. the system no longer gives users the visibility of their work that is needed) they will walk away....surely it won't come to that.

Carlos - the Idea Exchange has now got so big that I think a lot of people have given up looking through the hundreds of ideas. You should promote this thread on the Community site in order to get some more traction. I suspect there will be a lot of other customers who are alarmed at the lack (so far) of a viable replacement for the My Work Calendar.
