Everyone can make a mistake... as well as users who post updates. If I misspelled something, or want to change something in my comment I should be able to do so.
I would like this as well -- but with a history of what the edit was if needed or at bare minimum says "Edited at XX/XX/XX". Unfortunately, not everyone is honest -- and it's not always a mistake.
I have had multiple request from our team for this feature. Sometimes we type to fast and hit send and realize we have a typo or awkward phrase. An edit feature including history of the edits would be very helpful.
Hi it would be great to have the ability to edit comments. Current if there is an error, the user must select all, copy comment, delete comment with error, paste copied comment and correct error.
I would vote for the idea with the condition if the system tracks the edit, and updates is only allowed within the immediate time, e.g. 1 minute or so. This is to protect system of record while help with the mistake from fast typing, which people usually realized right after the "send".
I agree with both Linping Sun & Alana Coble. I would vote on this only if it was limited to a quick time frame, 1-2 minutes, so that we protect our system of record. Also, we really need the Audit trail of all changes before this was considered.
where do we vote? I often have to copy and past from several areas of a project to provide vendor information etc and it would be so much easier if we could edit the update....as opposed to leaving it hang or deleting and re-copy paste. I def agree it needs history and I also don't think every user should be able to....at least admins and possibly planners...then I'd want it to work like changing a "commit" date ...idk... and request to edit be sent...?
I'll vote yes- first I've seen this or voted for anything...not sure where to go!
