We would like to have the ability to apply custom sorting/grouping to the new Home area. In My Work, we were able to do this by adding a custom field to My Work in the layout template (for example, "task owner") and in so doing, would have the ability to sort/group by that field in My Work.
We specifically want the ability to sort by task owner, but I think this idea should apply to custom sorting/grouping in general.

An example of this requested feature would be to customize "Ready to Start" tasks as their own grouping and pin to the top? Our designers have a lot of tasks assigned to them and it's hard for them to see their newly assigned tasks.
I am with Sarah here! Start dates and other options would be great. They should let you customize this list. It is preventing the same basic functionality the is available today in the My Work screen. Huge set back without this function.
Agreed. I'd like this for all work item types though (in My Work you can't on the "Approvals" tab have a custom grouping)

In Addition - When in 'Work List' view, when a task is selected on the left-hand side column, would it be possible to reveal the project page on the main window, including its tasks and updates instead of just an expanded view of the task?
We seemed to have lost the ability to send tasks back to work request. I want to keep my list clean so that I'm only seeing what is necessary, I'm included in tasks like 'with biz for review' which actually don't require my attention, but on the new Home screen I'm unable to hide those without hiding relevant 'ready to start' tasks.
We would leverage this heavily.
Even adjusting some of the default sorting options would be helpful. For example, if you group by "Project" all of the child tasks are sorted alphabetically whereas it would be much more helpful to have those sorted by planned completion date by default.
